What’s Emotionally Intelligent Fitness?

Nisha Kishore, Founder of FitKind™

As a queer woman of color who’s wrestled with mental health, I know what it’s like to feel unseen in mainstream fitness. I struggled to find wellness options that were inclusive, holistic, and affordable.

I wanted to know if others felt the same, so I interviewed over 100 people across the U.S. and heard a common story: fitness often overlooks our emotional needs. It’s costly, competitive, and disconnected from real life.

I created FitKind™ to reimagine what wellness is and who it’s for. We’re pioneering emotionally intelligent fitness—an approach that builds mindfulness, resilience, self-awareness, and physical health together. 

Our goal is to transform 100K lives by 2030, and we’ve already grown a community of 110+ people who believe in what we’re building.
